How can I buy US stocks without an SSN or a US bank account?

For people living outside the US, one way is stock tokens such as Apple, Tesla and Nvidia in Catch, a Telegram app with no Social Security number to give and no US bank account to link, trading 24/7 for 0.50% once per move, $0.10 minimum. The tokens are issued by Coinbase and by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, not by Catch, and the issuers say they are not available to persons in the US.

Buy US stocks without an SSN

  1. Open Catch

Open Catch in Telegram or on the web and sign in with Telegram. Catch does not ask for a Social Security number.

  2. Add money

Open Withdraw or Send (Pay in the Coinbase app), pick USDC and the network called Base, and send at least $5 to the address Catch shows under Add money. Only send on Base or Robinhood Chain; other networks may be lost.

  3. Pick a stock and slide

Pick the stock, check the price and the fee, then slide to buy. Catch charges 0.50% once per move, $0.10 minimum.

What Catch asks for

You sign in with Telegram, in the app and on the web. Catch asks for no Social Security number, and it has no bank account to link.

If you pay by card, MoonPay runs the payment. The first time, MoonPay asks for your name, date of birth and address, and sometimes a photo ID. Card payments are not available in every country yet; sending USDC on Base works without a card.

Your money sits in one balance, held in dollars, across Base and Robinhood Chain, and moving it between them has no Catch fee.

What you are buying

The tokens are issued by Coinbase on Base and by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited on Robinhood Chain, not by Catch. Coinbase describes each of its tokens on Base as a beneficial claim on an underlying share, held 1:1 in regulated, bankruptcy-remote custody separate from Coinbase.

Robinhood's tokens on Robinhood Chain are tokenised debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited: they give economic exposure to the underlying share but no legal or beneficial rights in it, and Robinhood says each is backed 1:1 by a share held by a licensed custodian.

Catch has no trading hours. While US markets are closed there is no live share price to compare with, so token prices can move away from the last close.

Where Catch is not a fit

Catch sells stock tokens held in your Catch wallet, not a brokerage account. If you want a brokerage account, Catch is not a fit.

If you live in the US, Catch is not a fit: Coinbase says its stock tokens are not available to persons in the US and other restricted places. Robinhood says its Stock Tokens are not available to residents of the US, Canada, the UK or Switzerland.
