What are tokenized stocks and how do they work?
A tokenized stock is a token that tracks a US-listed stock or ETF: a custodian holds the share, and the token trades onchain, so in Catch you can buy or sell it at any hour for 0.50% once per move, $0.10 minimum. Catch lists 70, each issued by Coinbase on Base or by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited on Robinhood Chain, not by Catch, and the issuers say they are not available to persons in the US.

How tokenized stocks work
A custodian holds the share behind each token, 1:1, the issuers say. You hold the token in your Catch wallet, not a share in a brokerage account.
The token trades onchain, on Base or Robinhood Chain, so it is not tied to US market hours: Catch has no trading hours. While US markets are closed there is no live share price to compare with, so token prices can move away from the last close.
Catch lists 70 stocks and ETFs: 17 have a Coinbase token on Base and 69 have a Robinhood token on Robinhood Chain. Each stock token is a token that tracks a US-listed stock or ETF. The tokens are issued by Coinbase on Base and by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited on Robinhood Chain, not by Catch.
Two issuers, two designs
Coinbase describes each of its tokens on Base as a beneficial claim on an underlying share, held 1:1 in regulated, bankruptcy-remote custody separate from Coinbase.
Robinhood's tokens on Robinhood Chain are tokenised debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited: they give economic exposure to the underlying share but no legal or beneficial rights in it, and Robinhood says each is backed 1:1 by a share held by a licensed custodian.
On Catch a Coinbase token's symbol ends in c, such as NVDAc, and a Robinhood token's symbol is the ticker, such as NVDA.
Buy a tokenized stock
Add money
Send USDC on Base to the address Catch shows under Add money, or pay by card where it is offered.
Pick a stock
Choose any stock or ETF on the stocks list. One balance, held in dollars, covers Base and Robinhood Chain.
Slide to buy
Check the price and the fee, then slide to confirm. Catch charges 0.50% once per move, $0.10 minimum. Selling works the same way.
Where Catch is not a fit
Catch sells stock tokens held in your Catch wallet, not a brokerage account. If you want a brokerage account, Catch is not a fit.
If you want the share itself, held at a broker in your name, Catch is not a fit: it sells tokens that track shares.
If you live in the US, Catch is not a fit: Coinbase says its stock tokens are not available to persons in the US and other restricted places. Robinhood says its Stock Tokens are not available to residents of the US, Canada, the UK or Switzerland.

- Is a tokenized stock the same as the stock?
