How do I buy stocks without a broker?
One way is stock tokens in Catch, with no brokerage account to open: send USDC on Base to the address Catch shows under Add money and buy any of the 70 stocks and ETFs on its list, 24/7, for 0.50% once per move, $0.10 minimum. Each is a token that tracks a US-listed stock or ETF, held in your Catch wallet and issued by Coinbase or by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, not by Catch, and the issuers say they are not available to persons in the US.

What you hold instead of a brokerage account
You hold the token in your Catch wallet, not a share in a brokerage account. You sign in to Catch with Telegram, in the app and on the web.
Coinbase describes each of its tokens on Base as a beneficial claim on an underlying share, held 1:1 in regulated, bankruptcy-remote custody separate from Coinbase.
Robinhood's tokens on Robinhood Chain are tokenised debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited: they give economic exposure to the underlying share but no legal or beneficial rights in it, and Robinhood says each is backed 1:1 by a share held by a licensed custodian.
Your money sits in one balance, held in dollars, across Base and Robinhood Chain, and moving it between them has no Catch fee.
Catch lists 70 stocks and ETFs: 17 have a Coinbase token on Base and 69 have a Robinhood token on Robinhood Chain. Each stock token is a token that tracks a US-listed stock or ETF. The tokens are issued by Coinbase on Base and by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited on Robinhood Chain, not by Catch.
Where Catch is not a fit
Catch sells stock tokens held in your Catch wallet, not a brokerage account. If you want a brokerage account, Catch is not a fit.
If you want the share itself, held at a broker in your name, Catch is not a fit: it sells tokens that track shares.
If you live in the US, Catch is not a fit: Coinbase says its stock tokens are not available to persons in the US and other restricted places. Robinhood says its Stock Tokens are not available to residents of the US, Canada, the UK or Switzerland.

Questions
- How do I buy stocks without a stockbroker?
- One way is a stock token: in Catch you send USDC on Base to the address shown under Add money and buy a token that tracks the stock, with no stockbroker or brokerage account in between. Catch charges 0.50% once per move, $0.10 minimum.
- Can I buy stocks online without an account?
- Not without any account: you sign in to Catch with Telegram, and your stock tokens sit in your Catch wallet. There is no brokerage account to open.
