Which platform can I use to buy NYSE shares from South Africa?

One way is stock tokens such as Apple, Tesla and Nvidia in Catch, which runs in Telegram and on the web, does not block South Africa and trades 24/7 for 0.50% once per move, $0.10 minimum. Each is a token that tracks a US-listed stock, not a share bought on the NYSE, and you add money by sending USDC on Base from a wallet or exchange, or by card through MoonPay, which marks South Africa as high risk, so expect stricter ID checks.

Ways to add money from South Africa

From a wallet or exchange: Open Withdraw or Send (Pay in the Coinbase app), pick USDC and the network called Base, and send at least $5 to the address Catch shows under Add money. Only send on Base or Robinhood Chain; other networks may be lost. We have not checked whether your exchange lets you withdraw USDC on the Base network from South Africa, so confirm with it before you send.

By card: MoonPay runs card payments in Catch. On 4 Nov 2026, MoonPay's country list allowed card purchases from South Africa and listed South African rand. MoonPay marks South Africa as high risk, so expect stricter ID checks. Card top-ups start at $30. The first time, MoonPay asks for your name, date of birth and address, and sometimes a photo ID. For South Africa, MoonPay accepts a national ID card, a passport and other photo IDs.

Your money sits in one balance, held in dollars, across Base and Robinhood Chain, and moving it between them has no Catch fee.

What you are buying

Catch does not buy shares on the NYSE for you.

Each stock token is a token that tracks a US-listed stock or ETF. The tokens are issued by Coinbase on Base and by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited on Robinhood Chain, not by Catch.

Where Catch is not a fit

Catch sells stock tokens held in your Catch wallet, not a brokerage account. If you want a brokerage account, Catch is not a fit.

Catch has no bank transfer option. You add money by card through MoonPay, or from another wallet: USDC or ETH on Base, or USDG or ETH on Robinhood Chain.

If you would rather not go through stricter ID checks with MoonPay, skip the card and send USDC on Base instead.
