Is there any way to invest in the US market from Sri Lanka?

One way is stock tokens such as Apple, Tesla and Nvidia in Catch, which runs in Telegram and on the web, does not block Sri Lanka and trades 24/7 for 0.50% once per move, $0.10 minimum. Each is a token that tracks a US-listed stock, with no foreign broker or brokerage account to open: you add money by sending USDC on Base from a wallet or exchange.

Ways to add money from Sri Lanka

From a wallet or exchange: Open Withdraw or Send (Pay in the Coinbase app), pick USDC and the network called Base, and send at least $5 to the address Catch shows under Add money. Only send on Base or Robinhood Chain; other networks may be lost. We have not checked whether your exchange lets you withdraw USDC on the Base network from Sri Lanka, so confirm with it before you send.

Your money sits in one balance, held in dollars, across Base and Robinhood Chain, and moving it between them has no Catch fee.

What you are buying

Each stock token is a token that tracks a US-listed stock or ETF. The tokens are issued by Coinbase on Base and by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited on Robinhood Chain, not by Catch.

Catch has no trading hours. While US markets are closed there is no live share price to compare with, so token prices can move away from the last close.

Where Catch is not a fit

Catch sells stock tokens held in your Catch wallet, not a brokerage account. If you want a brokerage account, Catch is not a fit.

Catch has no bank transfer option. You add money from another wallet: USDC or ETH on Base, or USDG or ETH on Robinhood Chain.

If your bank will not send money to a foreign broker, check the rules in Sri Lanka on sending money abroad before you send USDC instead.

Questions

Can I use Catch from Sri Lanka?
Catch does not block Sri Lanka: it blocks buying and selling only in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, Myanmar and four occupied regions of Ukraine, and perps also in the US and Ontario. Whether stock tokens suit you under the rules in Sri Lanka is for you to check.
Do I need a foreign broker or a bank transfer?
No. Catch has no bank transfer option, so there is no foreign broker to fund: you send USDC on Base from a wallet or exchange. Open Withdraw or Send (Pay in the Coinbase app), pick USDC and the network called Base, and send at least $5 to the address Catch shows under Add money. Only send on Base or Robinhood Chain; other networks may be lost.
Can I send USDC from the exchange I already use?
We have not checked any exchange from Sri Lanka. Before you send, confirm your exchange lets you withdraw USDC on the Base network, then send it to the address Catch shows under Add money.
What does it cost?
Catch charges 0.50% once per move, $0.10 minimum. Network fees are shown before you confirm.
